AGM 2026 – July 16th

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Woodstock Badminton Club has been scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 7:00 PM.  The meeting is open to all members over the age of 18 years.

The board of directors is comprised of nine volunteer members that are tasked with overseeing the operation of the club.

Seven of these positions are up for election this year.

• Vice President (two year term)

• Treasurer (two year term)

• Membership Director (1 year term)

• Maintenance Director (1 year term)

• Tournament Director (1 year term)

• House Director (1 year term)

• Member At-Large. (1 year term)

The President and the Secretary positions have one more year in their terms.

Nominations for all open board positions on the board should be received by Sunday June 28. The nomination can be made by any member in good standing and must be seconded by another member in good standing.

If you are interested in amending the club’s constitution or bylaws, please submit your motion to the Vice President by Sunday June 28 vp.woodstock.bc@gmail.com

If you cannot attend the AGM you can appoint a proxy to vote for you. To appoint a proxy you must email the Vice President stating who will represent you by Sunday June 28.  vp.woodstock.bc@gmail.com

Special General Meeting (SGM)

A Special General Meeting for all members of the Woodstock Badminton Club scheduled for Thursday December 11, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the lounge at the club.

The purpose of this meeting is to nominate and elect a new secretary and treasurer. Candidates are required for both executuve club board positions.

The Secretary poaition is until the summer of 2027.

The Treasurer position is until the summer of 2026.

Nominations will be accepted at the meeeting. All nominations must be seconded. If more than one member is nominated for a position, an election wil be held, otherwise the nominee will be acclaimed.

All members are encouraged to attend. If however you are unable to attend and would like to have a vote, you can assign another member to vote on your behalf as your proxy. If you plan to vote by proxy, you must notify the vice predident of your intention by emailing him at vp.woodstock.bc@gmail.com with the name of the member that wil vote on your behalf by December 7, 2025. (Please note that a member attending the SGM can act as proxy for no more than two members.)
